The Potawatomi tribe lived on the land we now call DuPage County prior to foreign settlers encroaching the land. Major roads, such as Ogden Avenue and Butterfield Road, were trails that Potawatomi residents used regularly. Eventually, many of the inhabitants of this area were forcibly removed from their homes and relocated to Oklahoma. Here, a display of work by Native fashion designers celebrates the beauty of Native heritage.
